This November brings a fresh wave of dining options across the UAE, from authentic Syrian cuisine in Dubai to a London steakhouse landing in Abu Dhabi. Here are some of the most notable new openings and experiences to book.
Syrian flavours at Naranj Cafe
Naranj Cafe, a Syrian-Levantine restaurant with outlets in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, has opened its first Dubai location at Doubletree by Hilton Dubai Al Jadaf. Named after the orange trees found in Damascene and Aleppine courtyards, the restaurant celebrates Syrian culinary heritage with signature mezze, charcoal-grilled meats and slow-cooked specialities. With seating for 170 guests across indoor and outdoor spaces, it's ideal for extended family gatherings.
London steakhouse arrives in Abu Dhabi
Rowley's, a Mayfair institution for half a century, has opened on Yas Island, its third outpost outside London after Dubai and Riyadh. Known for a simple menu of steaks served with house salad and unlimited fries, the restaurant does not accept reservations, making it perfect for spontaneous dinners. Look out for daily specials exclusive to the Abu Dhabi branch.
Asian-inspired afternoon tea with Burj Khalifa views
London-born MiMi Mei Fair launches an afternoon tea from November 16 at Address Residences Dubai Opera. Priced at Dh148 per person, the spread includes savoury bites like duck bao and golden shrimp toast, sweet treats, and a fully vegetarian option, all enjoyed on the garden terrace with views of Burj Khalifa.
Five years of Moonrise
Dubai's Moonrise marks its fifth anniversary with a 12-course tasting menu (Dh995) that blends old favourites and new creations. Chef Solemann Haddad revisits signatures like grilled cheese with Hokkaido milk bread and black winter truffle, while new dishes include a Miyazaki A5 Wagyu shawarma. Vegetarian menus are also available.
New menus and experiences
Other highlights include a revamped menu at Carna by Dario Cecchini on the 74th floor of SLS, featuring Wagyu coppa and ossobuco lasagne; a Friday tapas night at Jara by Martin Berasategui with brunch packages from Dh250 for women and Dh400 for men; and the return of Saturday brunch at The Fore in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, with packages from Dh500. Coffee lovers can also check out Trio's new Jumeirah outpost, serving V60s, Spanish lattes and sweet treats.
