This site does not ask you to create an account. We show advertising from Google AdSense: Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, and to personalise them where you allow it. Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first and can change their choice at any time through the privacy settings link on the page. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for security, which are deleted after a limited period.

We count page views to see which stories people read. This uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses: each visit is counted with a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you.

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply. Photos are loaded from image libraries (Unsplash, Pexels), which may see your IP address when an image loads.
