Saudi Arabia's General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has added seven new languages to its website and mobile app, making it easier for customers who do not speak Arabic or English to use its digital services.

The newly available languages are Urdu, Bengali, Filipino, Hindi, Sinhala, Nepali and Indonesian. GOSI said the addition is part of its efforts to provide a more user-friendly digital experience and to help speakers of these languages browse its platforms, understand their insurance entitlements and obligations, and complete related procedures in their mother tongues.

GOSI manages social insurance programmes for employees in the kingdom, covering areas such as retirement pensions, workplace injury benefits and support for dependants. Saudi Arabia's expatriate population includes large communities from South Asia and Southeast Asia, where many of these languages are spoken. By offering services in more languages, the organisation aims to reduce barriers for the large expatriate workforce, many of whom rely on these languages in their daily lives.

For many expatriate workers, this means they can now access information about pension contributions, benefit eligibility and claim procedures in a language they fully understand. The update applies to both the GOSI website and the GOSI smartphone app, which are used to check contribution records, submit claims and access other insurance-related services.

Customers can select their preferred language from the available options, allowing them to navigate the platforms without needing a translator or relying on a colleague. The move reflects a wider trend among Saudi government agencies to expand multilingual support as part of the kingdom's digital transformation goals.

GOSI has not announced any changes to the core features of its services, and existing Arabic and English options remain available.
